MENA FCCG Joins the WEF / Europol / Thomson Reuters Coalition on Fighting Financial Crime
Mr. Michael Matossian, Chief Compliance Officer, Arab Bank and Deputy Chair MENA FCCG, has agreed to join the Thomson Reuters/World Economic Forum/Europol Coalition for the purpose of providing his expertise from a MENA perspective. This new public/private coalition was launched during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2018 in February 2018. The coalition is dedicated to mobilizing and influencing decisions-makers at the highest levels to achieve the following objectives:
- Raise awareness among global leaders on the topic of financial crime.
- Promote effective information sharing between public and private entities on a coordinated, global level.
- Establish enhanced processes to share compliance best practice to more robust customer due diligence.
